Mandarin pronunciation and tones can be very intimidating to both the beginner and advanced student alike. The precision required to speak intelligible Mandarin can take years in standard classroom environment where the instructor only has so much time to correct each students pronunciation and tones. At KCE, we provide an alternative. By receiving individual 1-to-1 instruction, you are assured that you will get the attention you need to develop a strong foundation in proper pronunciation and tones, and at the same time build a solid base in reading and writing Chinese characters.

Our full-time, certified instructors provide each student with an individually tailored curriculum that specifically addresses your own personal study goals for learning Chinese. Class content can be focused on a specific aspect of Mandarin, with many students choosing to spend the majority of their class time improving listening and speaking skills. Due to the unique and flexible nature of our 1-to-1 programs, you are free to choose your own start date and program duration. You may begin your course at any date and stay for as long as you like. You are also free to adjust your program details at any time.

For accommodation both Chinese home-stay and private apartments are available. Living with a Chinese host family is a fantastic way to really immerse oneself in the Chinese language and culture. Participating students quickly become one of the family and it is not uncommon for students to form lasting friendships with their host family members. KCE private apartments are within walking distance of the school facility and come fully furnished with broadband internet, cable TV, bed and linen, washing machine, water cooler, kitchen utensils and study desk.

KCE strives to be different to other language schools in China. We keep our locations small and our academics intense to ensure a true immersion environment. Konall Culture Exchange is an institute dedicated to the open exchange of language and culture between China and the rest of the world , one student at a time. We accomplish this goal by providing intensive and uniquely individual 1-to-1 language and culture study abroad programs for students from around the world. Our staff has over five years experience designing custom Mandarin study programs in China, and we have provided these services for over five hundred people.
