I not only learned so much academically, but I had an experience of a lifetime becoming a part of the Scottish culture. Edinburgh is stunning and the people living there were always pleasant. KEI helped greatly throughout the whole process.

A taste of my future medical career

The program provided me with valuable clinical experience and strengthened proficiency in the Spanish language. In terms of academics and my professional career, the program definitely furthered my progress. My host family was very accommodating. The two biggest downsides to the experience was safety and social life. Many of the students did not feel very safe because high crime rates and constant cat calling. I recommend never traveling alone, especially at night. In terms of the social life, the people of Guayaquil are some of the friendliest people I have ever met. However, there are not many fun things to do in the city. Most of the fun is to be had in other cities within in Ecuador, such as Montanita and Quito.

A Great Experience Abroad

I really enjoyed my time abroad with KEI. While there I took two business courses, along with a 20 credit hour intensive-Chinese language course. It consisted of grammar, listening, and speaking. I was able to improve my Chinese language ability greatly. While there we went on two weekend excursions to Xi'An, Nanjing, and Shanghai. We also had weekly Saturday activities where we would visit various sites around Beijing. I was able to become friends with other international students while in Beijing. I still keep in touch with a few of the people that I became friends with while I was there.
Going abroad was an experience that changed my life. I am now able to communicate effectively and efficiently in two languages. It also helped me to understand how other international students feel while they are in the USA. I really enjoyed my experience, and I would definitely do it all over again if I was given the opportunity to do so.

Amazing program. The entire KEI staff was so helpful, but still encouraged those in the program to be almost completely independent. The on-site director, Susannah, provided insight into London/England history and led us on several excursions within the UK. I really couldn't imagine a semester in London without her.
Taking classes at LSBU was completely immersive, so I was able to take an array of subjects with current LSBU students and learn as they learned. I believe this is was separates KEI from other programs. I studied abroad to study with students abroad, and that is exactly what I was able to do. I took a British politics class that was INCREDIBLY interesting because I was able to see how the Brits view history. It was eye opening how differently subjects are taught!
Our housing was located in the center of London. It was a 5 minute walk to campus, 10 minute walk to Borough Market and Tower Bridge, and Tube stop away from Big Ben and Westminster. There wasn't a better, more centrally located place to live in London.
KEI's program in London allowed me complete cultural immersion and independence to create my own experience. I would recommend this program to anyone and everyone!!!

Most memorable moment was riding elephant at an Elephant Camp and sailing down a river on a raft on the same day.
I chose this program because It was the most affordable of my choices.
I lived in an Apartment style living within close proximity to the institution where we studied.
