We welcome applicants whose first language is not English, but students will require a good level of competence in both written and spoken English.

Our classes are open to all current university students and are specifically designed for the Summer School study experience.

They aim to minimize the amount of time spent in a class room and maximize the amount of experiential learning in and around the London area.

You may select one or two classes from those being offered:

    - Being a Forensic Scientist
    - British Art and Architecture
    - British Culture and Society
    - Creative Writing in London
    - Exploring Cultural London

  • Highlights

Included in the cost of the programme is a one-month travel card allowing students unlimited travel in Greater London on trains, buses and subways.

Students are housed in a hall of residence in single bedrooms with shared kitchen and bathrooms. Bedding, towels and kitchen equipment are provided.

The main campus on Penrhyn Road is a 25 minute train ride from the center of London with convenient connections to the rest of the United Kingdom and Europe. The town of Kingston is a mixture of old and new with a daily open air market as well as chain stores, supermarkets, a shopping mall, night clubs, discos, and multi-screen cinemas. Kingston's location offers the peace and security of living outside the London city center as well as attractive green areas and easy access to the beautiful countryside. The proximity of London as well as the easy accessibility of Kew Gardens, Wimbledon, Hampton Court Palace, Richmond Park, and Windsor makes Kingston an excellent place to live and study.

There will be two four-day weekends allowing students to travel to mainland Europe, Ireland or elsewhere in the UK.

We are offering optional trips to Paris and Scotland on these weekends.

The other two weekends provide free time for exploring London and the area closer to Kingston. We are offering optional trips to Warwick and Stratford, Richmond and Brighton.
