Wanna Go Back!

Memorable experiences include going up on mount Untersburg, looking down on the city from the thousand year old fortress castle, beer in the beer garden during world cup, seeing a first class opera show with full professional orchestra and authentic instruments, walking back from the beer hall at 2 am, standing on the bridge over the river during a rain storm, the list goes on.

I chose the program because of the Music classes that count toward graduation .

Think of a dorm from the seventies except with better food. Lunch was the main meal, breakfast is the same every day. Staff were great (except for 1 individual) Wifi in Europe was the only real negative. 3 people to a room but you are never in your room anyways except to sleep.

Wanna Go Back!

Salzburg should be a required destination for every music major and the Salzburg program is the best deal. With 5 full weeks for the same cost that other 2 week programs charge in Europe. Including 6 credits. Academics were not easy and I studied and learned alot but the real stuff that sticks with you is from the city and the people and the culture. You can get around the city with no practice and it seems like there is always new stuff to discover. Salzburg is the first city I ever felt at home in and europe is the first country where being a musician felt like it had public approval. Try all the foods, learn the names of some locals, go to some concerts and recitals and travel as much as you can on weekends!
