  • Description

Kas-Eflatun Art Camp is located 500 meters up in Kas on a plateau. It is run and managed by Aydin and Ebru Cukurova. Aydin is a graduate of Fine Arts from Marmara University. Ebru is an architecture graduate from Ankara. Both Aydin and Ebru are qualified yoga teachers.

Our recently restored old stone house is situated along the Ancient Lycian Way, located in the village of Cukurbag. We are a 15 minute drive away from the seaside town Kas. Kas, situated in the south region of Turkey, is a small fishing, yachting and tourist town, on a hill running down to the sea and a district of Antalya Province of Turkey. It's historic importance comes from the ancient region Lycia.

Our week long holiday package, beggining every Sunday, welcomes each new day with yoga against a background of birdsong. The week is full of various activities; from enjoying the Mediterranean sea with boat excursions to the antique cities of Simena and Kekova, to watching slide shows and discovering ancient Lycian cities during cultural and trekking tours. You can even tend to the vegetables, tomatoes, peppers, aubergines in the organic garden. Eflatun Art Camp aims to exist in harmony with its natural and local surroundings, the property itself is a beautifully restored old house in the village of Cukurbag at an altitude of 500 meters, just 15-minutes drive from Kas. Eflatun aims to provide you with a unique opportunity for physical and mental relaxation whilst ensuring you return home with precious memories.

Additional Information: Bring suitable clothes for yoga, trekking shoes, swimming suits and a camera. If you miss Sunday, you can join the usual holiday routine at any time you wish and you can stay in the camp without participating in any of the activities. Participation in activities is optional; feel free to simply laze in one of our hammocks.

    VOLUNTEERS
We are also looking for volunteers. If you are interested in applying please review our profile thoroughly and write to us detailing your reasons for wanting to join us and perhaps attach a photo too.

We operate all year round. In summer we are very busy running our holiday program. In winter and autumn we are also open as a cafe, art gallery and guest house. In springtime we have to start working getting our place ready for the peak season. Throughout the year we have volunteer positions to help with the general running and maintainance of the camp.

We are looking for volunteers to help in many aspects of life at our camp. We are always looking to find volunteers willing to help. We are especially in need of people with experience in gardening, farming, maintanence, carpentery, building, computers, photoshop, filming, e-marketing, healings and general domestic duties (cooking, cleaning etc).

We all work together as a team. While I am doing something, the other volunteers help with other works around the camp; gardening, carpentery, building, painting, cleaning and helping in the house and kitchen. Everyone does a variety of work. Volunteering at our place is not like working in a restaurant, bar, hotel, factory as we are sharing our life. We never say: You have to work 08.00 -16.00.." because there are always routine chores that need to be done throughout the day (like preparing breakfast and dinner). We generally work between 5-6 hours a day but we are flexible with our hours and everyone can have time off and off days. All our volunteers are welcome to join our workshops, hiking program, and sea activites on their day off but can also choose to spend their time discovering Kas and the neighbouring sights independently. Please note that during times when we are not running our programs art and yoga workshops generally cannot be offered.

We provide accommodation and meals but not alcoholic drinks. We have all our meals together. Our food is mostly vegetarian . Our place is not a restaurant. We serve the homecooked meals that we normally eat. If you need or want other things you can buy them in town.

We welcome and appreciate volunteers who respect our way of life.
No smoking, no drugs, limited alcohol.

    INTERN
Occasionally we offer interships for people wanting to study Fine Art during our peak season (May to October) and also agriculture (all year round). Please contact for further information.
