Karlshochschule International University, formerly known as Merkur Akademie (M.A.I) which later became Merkur Internationale Fachhochschule - University Applied Sciences, is based in Karlsruhe, Germany and was founded in 1903. The university, as well as the private owned business school and charitable foundation, was state approved in 2004. KIU is committed to the continuous development of study programs focused on industries and sectors with high demand for academic professionalization. KIU offers accredited FIBAA programs: Intercultural Management and Communication, International Business, International Marketing, International Tourism Management, Tradefair, Convention and Event Management, Arts and Cultural Management, International Energy Management, International Media and Communication Management, and Master Program Management.
