Internships for individuals-starting weekly April-November/ English as a Second Language (ESL)+Eco Adventure camp-starting weekly in June, July, August and September for groups of 10-25.
Participants learn the fundamentals of operating a resort from the ground up. Tasks include painting, gardening, doing light outdoor work, cooking, answering the phone, taking reservations and housekeeping. Internship students are required to volunteer a minimum of 15 hours per week to offset the cost of their stay. Internships run from 1-4 weeks are unpaid and begin weekly from April-November. Private tutoring in English as a Second Language (ESL) is also available at extra cost.

Tourists visit Belize to enjoy the Caribbean beaches, Mayan ruins, citrus orchards, rum factories, caves, jungle treks, kayaking, birding, wildlife, water sports and scuba diving on the world's second largest barrier reef.
Jungle by the Sea Eco Resort is located on a pristine white sand beach in the upscale resort city of Hopkins (pop. 5000). Kelowna locals, Jean and John Barkman started the resort 6 years ago and welcome guests from around the world. They believe in treating everyone like family. Hopkins is famous for sport fishing, scuba diving and is the centre of Garifuna culture and drumming.
- Students should be at Upper intermediate/ Cambridge FCE level of English.
- Previous hospitality or hotel experience is an asset.
