    This exciting 2 week program combines morning English as a Second Language (ESL) classes with afternoon and weekend excursions.

    Week 1
    Sat. or Sun. Check into Jungle by the Sea Resort/ Orientation
    Mon. AM ESL / PM Hopkins walking tour
    Tues. AM ESL / PM Garafuna drumming lesson
    Wed. Day trip-Marie Sharp's Hot Sauce Factory tour/ Citrus or Rum Factory tour
    Thurs.AM ESL / PM Bike tour and visit old sugar mill
    Fri.AM ESL / PM Cooking class-cassava and banana bread
    Sat. Day trip-Snorkeling and fishing to reef and quays
    Sun. Day trip-Belize Zoo/ Guanacaste National Park (hike, swim)

    Week 2
    Mon. Day trip-Blue Hole National Park and St. Herman's Cave (hike, swim)
    Tues.Day trip to Dangriga city tour and Garafuna Cultural Centre
    Wed. AM ESL / PM Garafuna storyteller or jungle medicine tour
    Thurs. Day trip to San Ignacio Mayan ruins-Cahel Pech and Xunantanich
    Fri. AM ESL / PM Punta dance lesson / Farewell beach party
    Sat. Free day to shop or relax on the beach or check out and depart
    Sun. Check out and depart

    PADI Scuba Diving courses-Level-Openwater to Dive Master
    2-3 tank reef dives also available for certified divers.

  • Highlights

    Belize (population 270,000) is an unspoiled tropical paradise similar to Hawaii, Cancun and Guam 40 years ago. Average temperatures are a balmy 29C. Belize is also part of the British Commonwealth.

    Tourists visit Belize to enjoy the Caribbean beaches, Mayan ruins, citrus orchards, rum factories, caves, jungle treks, kayaking, birding, wildlife, water sports and scuba diving on the world's second largest barrier reef.

    ESL+Eco Adventure Camp Location:

    Jungle by the Sea Eco Resort is located on a pristine white sand beach in the upscale resort city of Hopkins (pop. 5000). Kelowna locals, Jean and John Barkman started the resort in 2003 and welcome guests from around the world. They believe in treating everyone like family. Hopkins is famous for sport fishing, scuba diving and is the centre of Garifuna culture and drumming.
