Academic Program in Japanese Language & Culture (January-April 2007)

Studying abroad at JCMU was the best decision I made in my life. Hikone is a great location - small enough to become part of the community but still close to the big cities for afternoon or weekend getaways. The professors were great and always willing to give extra help, and I learned more Japanese in my four months there than I did in three years in the US. I also made some of my best friends there, friends who I am still in contact with and have visited me from Japan even now four years later. I highly recommend this program - especially during the academic year. I wish I had been able to stay another semester!
