Description

The course is of a practical nature and takes you through the basic skills and techniques necessary to teach English to foreign speakers, both children and adults. It includes two teaching practices with a final written report from your tutor to highlight your strengths and any development needs that you may have. You will learn many different methods used for teaching foreign students, some who speak little or no English at all, how to survive in the classroom, how to formulate your own lesson plans, error correction and much more. We also cover advice on teaching materials and job prospects. We give you a Jobs List during your weekend training and this lists current teaching jobs all over the world, from jobs in Europe, UK summer schools and many jobs in Asia. For Taiwan & South Korea you also need a degree to obtain the work permit, this is not a requirement in China. The jobs in our Booklet aren't just jobs we've picked from the internet; they have all come to ITC because of our reputation wanting teachers with our TEFL certificate.

Salary/Pay

Pay and conditions vary considerably from one country to another and also on your experience. Without any teaching experience working in China the salary is between 5,000 - 8,000 RMB and generally includes free accommodation and sometimes flights.
