  • Description

The Master in Design and Management of Cultural and Artistic Projects aims to train professionals in the Arts, providing multidisciplinary experiences and contributing in their knowledge about the systems of art and the design of artistic projects.

The objective of the course is to prepare professionals capable of managing cultural projects as well as leading organizations dedicated to their development including museums, galleries, publishing companies and event planning agencies.

    Target audience:

The Master is aimed at established or emerging professionals in the cultural sphere, who wish to acquire knowledge of cultural management or build on their current knowledge, with a view to creating a unique skills-set to face new challenges in the labour market. Graduates (or equivalent) of disciplines similar to those of the programme (Art History, Humanities, Philology, History, Design), with professional experience in the cultural sector. Anybody who wants to gain knowledge of, or embark upon a career in art management, based on a unique experience in Barcelona, a proud Mediterranean city which boasts a collection of unique institutions dedicated to our great avant-garde artists: Picasso, Miro and Tapies. Outside the strictly artistic environment, the Masters can also be an excellent source of knowledge for anyone who seeks to broaden their cross-cultural view of the world of communication in general.

  • Highlights

The course is divided into 3 general areas and one practical module: 3 training modules and one project (1. Systems of art; 2. Cultural management; 3. Design of cultural projects; 4. Advanced module: professional skills seminars, visits, conferences, etc.).

The project proposes a real exercise which involves applying the methods and techniques covered in the Masters. The exercise will most probably be undertaken in an official cultural venue.

Weekly support sessions will take place with regard to programme adhesion and the development and creative execution of the project.
