    The Course, through a series of theoretical and practical lessons, aims to give to the students a chance to come to grips with all the various stages involved in book or magazine production, from the manuscript to the actual publication of the printed product.

    The Master will actually involve the development of an editorial project commissioned by an external reality, thus projecting the students - through an actual professional process - into a real work situation.

    Aimed to:

    Admission to the Master course is restricted humanistic items graduates, the holders of graphic degree as graduated form IED in Graphic Area or publishing experts that decide to dedicate another year to a high specialization.

  • Highlights

    In order to answer the demands of competently trained figures for a Communication System constantly under evolution, course curricula are continuously up-dated and the Faculty comprises of fully fledged lectures and professional, capable of instilling applied competencies and constant innovation.

    Theoretical lessons are flanked by project workshops, cultural seminars, competition entries, cycles of conferences and trips to enterprises and production plants. Both in-house laboratory and external exercises carried out in direct contact with enterprises, allow students to measure their creative skills by realising projects and concrete shapes.

    Furthermore, the continuous relationships with companies and the working world permits students on the one hand to grasp the most vanguard trends, both in terms of taste and technological innovation and, on the other hand, constantly experiment new languages and modalities of expression which are in harmony with the changes of social costume.

    The Master course is divided into 6 macro items. Each of them has different subject and includes two projects: the first one for the creation of a book and the second one for its promotion.

    The Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) is a design school that attracts students from over 90 different countries to its one and three year/four undergraduate, masters courses and advanced training. The school was born in 1966 to the intuition of its President Francesco Morelli. Through time, it has become a 100% Made in Italy international network of excellence, operating in the fields of training and research, in the disciplines of Design, Fashion, Visual Communication and Management. The school is spread around twelve cities: (Milan, Turin, Venice,Cagliari, Florence, Rome, Barcelona, Madrid, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Beijing and Shanghai). Every year more than 1800 foreign students enroll in its courses, mainly coming from Europe, Central and South America and East Asia. The school offers more than 500 courses in English, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese.
