Our method is simple and intuitive. Each student starts from the basis of various dress patterns after which mastered successively is transferred onto material. The search for materials continues and is the basis of our method. The Burgo method is traditional, yet new at the same time. The flavor of old-fashion tailoring workshops is combined with modern creativity. Here at our institute we believe that is very important for the students to be in touch with, step by step, the teachers; as a result, each student is given individual help and is counseled according, to his particular needs. For this reason each teacher does not have more than 8/10 students. Techniques: Alta Moda (Haute-Couture), Tailor Sewing Techniques, Industrial Sewing Methods, Planning Techniques. Pattern Making: Pattern making - Pattern lay-out - Finishing Touch - Machine Sewing.

Istituto di Moda Burgo has been carrying out this activity in the elegant heart of Milan, in prestigious Via S.Andrea, Via della Spiga, Via Montenapoleone, the most exclusive fashion center in the world.

All the rooms of the school are equipped with modern and always new instruments that the students, once the course is over, will find in the fashion industry. We have a wonderful cooperation with the most famous griffe like Dolce & Gabbana, Krizia, Armani, Gucci, Gianfranco Ferra and others.

The materials consist of curved drawing lines and books (bilingual Italian-English) introducing concepts of sketching, colouring technique, pattern making and other fashion design related techniques. This material is free to our students.
