Santander-- The Ireland of Spain

Loved this program and I cannot wait to return to Santander!

Academics:
The classes started late (this is Spain, so that was not a surprise. Culturally, there is not the same emphasis on schedule.) but the professors were fabulous for the most part. I studied globalization of economics, international relations, international marketing, and a few other business courses. The Spanish program struggled due to scheduling of professors, but it is a smaller program so they have more flexibility for student needs.

Living Situation:
My host family was amazing and the majority of students in the program had really wonderful experiences in home-stays.

Cultural Immersion:
Because it is a smaller city, with a small study abroad program, there is a great opportunity to full immerse yourself in the culture.

Program Administration:
The organization was lacking but across the board the program was friendly.
