  • Description

Xalapa, the picturesque and lively capital city, is the cultural center of the state of Veracruz, a region known for its coffee production, indigenous history, and varied climate. With a population of over 500,000, the city of Xalapa is full of life and energy. Despite its growing population, Xalapa maintains the small town charm that makes it the perfect setting for immersion in Mexican culture. Also called the "City of Flowers," Xalapa is nestled in mountains at an elevation of over 4,500 feet. From most parts of the city, visitors can view the nearby snow-capped Pico de Orizaba, and the historic port city of Veracruz is only an hour away.
