Florianópolis, situated on an island in southeastern Brazil, is modern and cosmopolitan yet also blessed with tremendous natural beauty. Highlights

The Fundação Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina takes pride in being a socially responsible and technologically advanced university, and it offers one of the most extensive distance learning programs in Latin America. ISA classes will be held at at the Ilha Centro Trajano and the Ilha Centro Dib Mussi locations of the Florianópolis campus, located half a mile apart in the central downtown area of the island. All courses are taught by highly experienced professionals and academics from the host faculty of the Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina (UNISUL). Classes are comprised of ISA students, Brazilian students, and other visiting international students.

The ISA office is conveniently located inside the UNISUL's Ilha Centro campus where the students will take their classes. The office, in the center of downtown, houses the ISA resident staff who is available to offer support with academics, housing, travel or other program needs. The ISA office provides a study room, computer/internet workstations and a lounge area available for student use. Students are encouraged to visit the ISA facility to check e-mail, receive tutoring, obtain travel advice, or practice speaking Portuguese with the ISA staff.
