Ayusa Study Abroad: Explore Spain!

Embark on a Summer Cultural Exploration program in Barcelona. Spain is ideal for students who want to learn or improve their Spanish language skills while immersing themselves in Spanish culture and exploring regional sights.

Students who choose the Cultural Exploration program attend language classes, experience Spanish culture through organized activities, and explore Spain on the weekends through guided excursions. Participants live with a host family in the city of Barcelona.

On the Cultural Exploration program, intensive Spanish courses take place in the morning, Monday through Friday, for four hours per day. Students will be given a placement exam upon arrival and assigned to a class of the appropriate level. Classes are available for students of all levels, from beginner to advanced. Teachers emphasize a personalized approach, and the average student-to-teacher ratio is 8:1.

* No language requirement.
* 15-18 years old.
* Motivated students with a 2.5 GPA or higher on a 4 point scale.
* Mature, flexible, open-minded, and able to adapt to living with a host family.
* Eager for the academic challenge of studying in a foreign school.

Scholarships are Available

Ayusa Study Abroad offers several High School scholarships with the support of our partners. We also encourage students to help pay for their Study Abroad program by fundraising a portion of their program fees. * Youth Writing Contest: This USD 500 award will be given based on an essay contest. Students will write a 500-750 word essay on one of several topics. * Global Citizen Scholarship: The purpose of this scholarship is to award USD 2000 to resourceful and mature students who are passionate about international exchange, bettering their community and self-growth.
