A world in one city, London's diversity is reflected everywhere, from its cultural festivals to its multitude of ethnic restaurants. UCL's central London location presents you with an unparalleled multiplicity of social, cultural, and artistic benefits. From Italian espresso bars to Lebanese shisha cafes, you can sit at a sidewalk table and literally watch the world go by. Academic resources such as the British Library and the British Museum, and cultural opportunities including the National Theatre, the Royal Opera House and the National Gallery, are all within walking distance of UCL. From clubbing at Fabric, Heaven, or Cargo, to more intimate gigs from up-and-coming bands in Camden or Shoreditch, the city is a treasure trove for those who love music. But if London is not enough, the diversity and cultural richness of over 40 more European countries are just a short flight or train journey away.

  • Highlights

As one of the world's top five universities, University College London offers strength and depth across the academic spectrum. UCL's focus on interdisciplinary study promotes collaborative learning programs and allows the perspectives and approaches of any one subject to inform and enrich the teaching of another. The range of subjects offered, combined with consistently high rankings, makes UCL a true academic powerhouse.

As an Interstudy student at UCL, you have access to an extensive and flexible range of subjects, whether you plan to focus solely on your academic major, or explore something completely new. You will normally apply to one UCL department, where you will be expected to take at least 50% of your courses. You may select the remainder of your courses from other departments as electives. You must have completed two years of study at university level prior to entry to UCL.

UCL has a policy of keeping Wednesday afternoons free of teaching, so every student has the opportunity to engage in some sort of extracurricular activity. From Anime to Ultimate, Chocolate to Volleyball, Dodgeball to Salsa, UCL's 50 sports clubs and 80 societies provide a great way to make friends. The UCL Union also runs Bloomsbury Fitness, the Union's gym, and several other sports venues. Most UCL housing is located within a few minutes' walk of the university. As an Interstudy student, you will have a single study bedroom equipped with bed, desk, chair, sink, bookcase, closet, and internet access.

Testimonials

Compared to a lot of my friends I definitely had to put with less hassle - all because of you. In so many aspects you could not have done any better. I would be more than willing to talk to others ...
