IUHS provides the best of universal design learning with quality research. All faculty members hold advanced graduate degrees in their fields and most have considerable experience as practitioners.

    What does IUHS stand for?
IUHS is based on a new paradigm in education combining the best of distance education with quality research. Our programs are taught by highly qualified scholars from various countries. One hundred percent of our faculty members have advanced post-graduate degrees in their respective fields.

    What programs do we offer?

Our university offers a Master's of Arts in Global Leadership (Maestria en Liderazgo Global), a Graduate Certificate in Global Leadership (Certificado de Postgrado en Liderazgo Global), an Associate of Arts in International Studies (Diplomado en Estudios Internacionales), a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations (Licenciatura en Relaciones Internacionales), and multiple professional training programs in field ranging from negotiation to English Composition.

    What makes IUHS special?
As an IUHS student, you will enhance your experience and previous education with cutting edge applied theories from fields as diverse as education, sociology, international relations, communication, political science, and International Law. In addition to that, you will be trained to conduct research which can be applied in the public and the private sector. As well as research training, our graduates will have an opportunity to be placed as interns in leading institutions in both the private and public sectors.

IUHS is modeled after the American University System. Each Subject is worth 3 credits and for degree programs each term lasts for 8 weeks. Students are allowed to register up to 6 credits per term. A full time student can complete a Master's Degree in a year, subject to successful completion of the thesis.

The academic year begins at the beginning of September and ends at the end of August of the following year. Moreover, the average workload for a full time student is around 20 hours per week. Learning is done through a combination of asynchronous online learning through the Moodle software platform, bi-monthly live lectures through video conferencing, reading assignments, recorded lectures, and face to face instruction.
