  • Intern Exchange International, Ltd.'s Mission Statement

Background and Philosophy - Nina Glickman and Lynn Weinstein established Intern Exchange International in 1987 as a way to encourage high school students to make an informed career choice. IEI's exciting summer internships in London offer students a hands-on experience in a profession that interests them. In addition to career exposure and the opportunity to obtain prestigious references for college, this month-long peek into the day-to-day rhythms of the working world provides a wonderful growth experience. Day trips, weekend excursions, and special touring events are an integral part of the summer. IEI is a bridge between high school and college, where students experience tremendous social, academic, and personal growth; their newfound sense of independence will serve them well in college. Because of the unique nature of this program, the interns experience freedom as young, responsible adults within established boundaries. IEI students are self-directed, responsible individuals who enjoy learning in a real-world environment and who are excited by this outstanding opportunity to learn and live in London for the summer.
