  • Description

    The Project

Depending on the location, we have contacts with both community and national productions. We work with a variety of theaters ranging from Shakespearean, children, indigenous populations, community, and national. Our aim is to provide interns with an up close and personal look at all aspects of theater production.

    Job Description

    1) Set design
    2) Makeup
    3) Marketing
    4) Production
    5) Wardrobe
    6) Lighting
    7) Film
    8) Directorial Assistance

We seek to provide interns a holistic look at theater production from storyboarding to post-production analysis. This is a great way to understand and interact with local communities and staff members and gain cultural insight into what makes each place unique.

Many of the theaters we work with rely on volunteer/intern labor for successful production. As such, your work will be greatly appreciated and you will see the fruits of your labor when the curtain opens for each production.

If there is a specific area of interest that you wish to focus on we can help facilitate that with the production manager. Past interns have made friendships that have lasted beyond the closing curtain. This is a great opportunity to work and play alongside of creative people who have the same shared interest as yourself.

Theater internships look great on resumes and demonstrate to future employers that you are a well-rounded individual with an interest and commitment to the arts and the creative process.
