  • Description

Discover and explore, in the nation's capital city, the grass-roots issues that impact, influence and interest local communities. Work at one of the leading politcal newspapers in the country. The total current combined circulation is in excess of 70,000, all distributed within the greater Wellington area. This is a hard hitting political publication run by some saavy, yet friendly editors who have a high opinon of the I.C.E.e interns we have sent them over the years.

You will get the opportunity to experience journalism in a 'hands on' environment. This is not an internship where you will be delegated the task of making coffee and running errands! You will have the opportunity to be involved in news sourcing, interviewing, news writing, photography, layout, and design. This newspaper group provides a training ground for less experienced journalists and reporters. At any one time, there will also be other local interns working alongside you. This will enable you to become acquainted with Kiwi students who will have a passion for journalism and share similar interests as yourself.
