  • Description

    I.C.E. has contacts with some of the leading art galleries in all the coutries that we do placements. After a short training period, you will assist curators on a number of fronts.

    Job Description
    1) Assist with the set up of new galleries
    2) Receive guests at the front desk
    3) Provide guests a general history of the gallery
    4) Provide a general history of the displays in general
    5) Discuss particular works of art in the Gallery that are of key importance
    6) Conduct original research if desired on topics relating to the interns particular art interests
    7) Present research for usage by the gallery and share with the public if appropriate

    The art galleries we work with are dedicated to a wide range of art forms including: modern and indigenous art works, fashion of the times, sculpture and ceramics, scientific achievement, among others. The galleries that we work with feature paintings, sculpture, decorative arts, furniture, textiles, costumes, pastels, watercolors, collages, books, photography, and even performance art. We will work with you to choose the specific area that you wish to focus and locate a gallery that closely meets your needs.

In addition, be sure to submit a resume or acceptable equivalent indicating any relevant knowledge or skills.

  • Qualifications

    * Applicants must be 18 years old or older.
    * We accept GAP YEAR students through college graduates
    * Positive attitude
    * 20 - 40 hours per week
