  • Description

    Among the activities/ programs are introducing young people in schools or youth groups to the Millennium Development Goals:

    - Developing actions plans for Youth Crime Watch Clubs/communities
    - Develop information newsletters and coordinating young teams to produce tool kits

  • Highlights

    Volunteers will get the opportunity to work directly with youth groups in developing various programs in:

    - Gender and Capacity Development Initiatives
    - Mentoring and Mediation
    - Conflict Resolution
    - Community Peace-building
    - UNIDO MRU Youth Communication Platform
    - National Youth Solution
    - Environmental Campaigns

  • Qualifications

    At least 18 years of age. Volunteers can range between undergraduate/college students to professionals, business students, filmmakers, photographers, ICT, website designers, social workers, teachers and educators.

    We also welcome those who may not have had previous youth or community development experience as they will receive all necessary orientation from YCW-Liberia.

    What is essential is that they are able to work effectively in sometimes difficult circumstances, produce results as requested and are able to make cultural adjustments quickly. You need to have a mature and patient attitude.
