Since 1950, IES Abroad has been building quality study abroad programs and introducing U.S. students to new places, studies, and ways of thinking. A non-profit educational organization, IES offers high academic standards and extensive financial aid in almost 80 programs throughout the world.

IES Abroad invites you to study abroad in Rabat, where, over the course of a semester or academic year, you will come to know the winding streets of Rabat's vibrant medina and the numerous cafes and boulevards of the city's modern Ville Nouvelle. Delve into the fascinating layers of this North African nation as you learn Arabic with courses at the beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels. IES Abroad courses focus on North African and Islamic Studies and introduce you to the many influential forces shaping the history and culture of Morocco. Courses taught in French give you an opportunity to address these topics while improving your French language skills.

Gain a unique cultural perspective and practical work experience with an internship placement at a local organization, school, or business. Whether learning alongside Moroccan students or sharing a home-cooked meal with your homestay family, you will enjoy regular opportunities to integrate into the community. Coupled with IES Abroad field trips and field study trips that provide first-hand cultural insight, this program will help you to gain a meaningful cultural experience and a deeper knowledge of what it means to be a citizen of the world.
