    This program provides you with an outstanding opportunity to learn about French culture and history while improving your French language abilities. Courses are taught in French by native speakers who are faculty of IES Abroad Paris.

    The IES Abroad Paris Summer Intermediate & Advanced program offers enrollment in IES Abroad courses, housing in homestays or apartments, field study opportunities, and field trips; you will have the opportunity to meet French and international students alike. Starting at the IES Abroad Center in the heart of the Left Bank, this program will help you to gain a meaningful cultural experience and a deeper knowledge of what it means to be a citizen of the world.

  • Highlights

    * Language courses develop your ability to communicate effectively in French through a focus on grammar, conversation, and composition.
    * Area studies courses focus on 19th and 20th century France. Instructors schedule several tours of Paris, its many art museums, and its architectural and historical landmarks.
    * Courses are taught in French by the native faculty of IES Abroad Paris.
    * Enrollment options depend upon your language ability.

    Additional exciting aspects of the program include:
    * Live with local Parisians in private homes throughout the city or in a private apartment building in the 14th arrondissement.
    * Participate in field trips to places such as Chantilly and Giverny.
