Make your first inroads into the professional world of design and communication with IED's Total Design 1st Year of BA Hons in Design course.

Design + Communication + Visual Arts + Fashion = Total Design

The Total Design course runs for one whole academic year as cross-sectional experience across the main fields of design and communication.

After the first year of Total Design the student has to decide to go on with the second year of the BA Hons programs on Graphic Design, Interior Design, Product Design or Fashion Design. The student will finish a BA Hons in Design in four years.

The course covers all areas of design from both the theoretical and practical perspectives, including all key subjects required for professional development of project design and culture. The course ends with a transversal final project commissioned by a real company. This year's project is commissioned by the Japanese company MUJI.

Designed for: anyone seeking professional development in the areas of design and communication.
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6pm - 10pm / Friday 6pm 8pm
Beginning of Course: October 2011
End of Course: June 2012.

Highlights

The Course in Total Design 1st Year of BA Hons in Design will cover all artistic, conceptual, technical and projectual design elements, through workshops and theoretical lessons, so that students learn about the foundations of design.

You can chose to join a group taught in English or Spanish.
