  • Description

Humanitravels offers volunteer and language programs in Latin America. The programs are tailored to meet your needs and personalized to ensure you reach all your goals for the experience. Not only will you be able to round out your resume but also expand your horizons and gain intimate knowledge of the people and place.

All our programs have been personally visited and inspected by Humanitravels' founders, Tom and Alex. They have met the staff, seen the projects, and visited the sights. They guarantee that every project Humanitravels works with is affecting real change in its community and needs volunteers. They will also use their knowledge to help you find the project that fits you best. Both of them have spent significant time in Latin America and can give you travel tips you won't get anywhere else.

While abroad you will have the ongoing support of our In-Country Representative, Gustavo, who will orientate you and be available 24/7 should any problems arise.

Our volunteer and language programs are an invaluable opportunity for you to really get to know a new culture. As a volunteer you will work alongside the locals sharing in their trials and tribulations. While you will be helping them, they will be helping you to gain a new perspective on the world. This international outlook is increasingly valued in the workforce and in higher education. You will also be learning a new skill set that you can apply upon your return home.

All of our language programs can be combined with volunteering so if you are interested in doing both please let us know! As a language student in Guatemala you will learn what is widely considered to be the most accent-free Spanish in Latin American from experienced, qualified teachers. The classes are all one on one (though if you prefer they can be done in a small group), so you can really tailor the lessons to you and your needs. You can even receive college credit at our school in Antigua. Not only will you come away feeling confident and able to converse, you will have learned Spanish a widely spoken language that is fast becoming essential in professional settings.

Whichever program you choose you will have an unforgettable experience that will change your life.
