The hotel "La Dolce Vita" is located on the beach in Esterillos Oeste, near Jaco, facing the shore of the Pacific Ocean. The beach of Esterillos is known for its natural beauty, its surf waves that appeal surfers from all over the world and for the presence of wonderful tropical birds.

The Hotel has seven apartments facing a wonderful garden and swimming pool. Each apartment has patio/deck, terrazzo-balcony and is smartly furnished, bathroom with hot water, air conditioning, fan, kitchen, fridge, a bedroom with double bed and a living room with kitchen complete of a fully equipped stove, a sofa-bed, Satellite TV, Wi-fi.

Location

The Hotel "La Dolce Vita" is located on the beach of Esterillo Oeste, about 120 Km from the international airport Juan Santamaria. You can reach the hotel renting a car, by taxi or by air-conditioned minibus.

Taxi

In the airport rent a taxi to go directly to La Dolce Vita in Esterillos Oeste.

Public Bus

Bus service runs regularly between San Jose and Quepos,from San Jose's Coca Cola bus terminal (Central de Buses de San José Estación Coca Cola: Calle 18, Avenidas 1 y 3). Buses leave from the San Jose Coca Cola Terminal at: 6.00 - 12.00 - 17.00 - 19.30. Go down at the first Esterillos Oeste stop and in this case walk to the beach and then turn right for 50 meters until you reach La Dolce Vita. At 5.00 PM from Monday to Friday there is a bus that goes directly to the beach. The fare is about 5$ per person.

Renting a car

If you are renting a car at the airport, ask them to direct you towards San Jose and Escazu. Leading out, follow the signs to San Jose and Escazu. You will stay on this road for about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic.

You will take a RIGHT at an intersection with traffic lights, there will be a McDonalds on the far left-hand corner (on the other side of the intersection). And, on the right side of the intersection you will see a tall blue sign that says “Universal”. This is the Autopista del Sol or Highway 27. This is a toll road and there are a few different tolls along the way, all totaling about $3 or $4.

Just continue straight on the Autopista del Sol without exiting and follow the signs for Caldera and take the exit to Caldera. Once you get to Puntarenas, the Autopista del Sol will turn into Highway 1.

You will pass under the highway and pass a round-about as you enter the Costanera, Hwy 34 which brings you to Esterillos Oeste. Keep straigt on the highway, do not take any of the exits into the towns. After you pass Jaco there will be twenty minutes to Esterillos. Esterillos is divided into three towns: from North to South. Esterillos Oeste, Esterillos Central and Esterillos Este.

You will be taking the first entrance into Esterillos Oeste, past the Cabo Caletas project. You will see the signs of the Las Olas development. You will go for about 500 metros into town where you will see a small super market, Super Sol, on your right. Pass the super market and follow the road straight toward the beach and make a right just before the surf shop, you will see an other small sign of the hotel. Continue 20 meters and make a left at the fence post; you have arrived at “La Dolce Vita”. The trip from the airport to La Dolce Vita will last about 1.5 hours.

Minibus

Cupotico has a minibus service with air conditioned from San Josè airport to Jaco (from Jaco to Esterillos Oeste take a taxi, is about 15 minutes). They leave every day at 8.00 AM and 2.20 PM from the stop by the shop "Tortuga Verte" at the airport.
