Honduras Adventures Spanish Programs (HASP) is an initiative to provide foreign health care professionals and other travelers to Honduras an opportunity to become involved in social tourism. One of the basic objectives of social tourism is to combat segregation or inequality in respect of specific segments of society when it comes to tourism and holiday travel. If successful, this effort could provide host communities in developing countries with supplemental income while also helping to democratize tourism and tourism activity. HASP will connect program participants with individuals, groups and organizations in Honduras who can provide meaningful inter-cultural experiences in addition to traditional holiday activities.
