  • Description

    Students from all around the world are invited to apply for the International Summer School 2011 at the HSE. We are proud to offer international students high quality academic summer programs that will provide them with a comprehensive picture of contemporary Russian politics and economy, Russian culture and history. The courses are taught by internationally-renowned HSE professors. All students may choose a beginner, intermediate or advanced Russian language course.

    The first two weeks of each session are conducted at Moscow HSE campus, the second two weeks at St. Petersburg campus.

    Classes meet daily for 2-6 academic hours, depending on the workload chosen by student.

    Students may choose courses from 6 tracks:
    1. Russian History
    2. Contemporary Russia
    3. Jewish Studies
    4. Economics
    5. Mathematics
    6. EU-Russia Relations

    * EU-Russia Relations track is available only for 2nd (July) session

    In addition to the outstanding academic program all students will benefit from our exclusive and broad-ranging cultural immersion program (included in the tuition fee). A unique opportunity to experience life and culture in two Russian capitals will be an unforgettable experience.

    Admission criteria
    The HSE Summer School is designed to suit the needs of highly motivated future professionals and students who wish to engage in an intensive set of courses. Our goal is to make sure that the School's studying environment is dynamic and challenging.

    Good command of English is required. Special attention will be devoted to those applicants who can demonstrate their proficiency in English by means of an international qualification. Previous study-abroad experience will also be taken into consideration.

    No prior knowledge of Russian is required.
