Description

The program combines intensive learning with exciting new cultural and social experience. We offer international students and researchers a wide range of courses in Russian Studies including Economy, Politics and International Relations, History, Culture and the Russian Language. All courses are taught in English by internationally renowned HSE professors. The program is filled with visits to various government bodies, NGOs, political parties, business companies and cultural attractions.

Program structure
The program is composed of one major lecture/seminar course and five optional ones. The mandatory part provides students with essentials of the chosen specialization. The optional part of the program offers students opportunities to have a closer study of specific aspects of their main specialization and other areas of their choice.

The whole program is taught in English
Apart from the in-depth academic studying, the program includes tours to Moscow and nearby areas of historical significance and cultural interest as well as political, non-governmental and business organizations. Thereby, students are provided with a hands-on opportunity to get a sense of how the latter work in practice, experience the historical beauty of Russia and feel a pulse of modern Russian lifestyle.

Admission criteria
* The program is designed for undergraduate and MA students with varied qualifications and different backgrounds from all over the world.
* Good command over English is necessary since all the courses are run in English. No prior knowledge of Russian is required.
* Some courses require different sets of prerequisites. Please make sure to get familiar with each course requirements before enrolling.
* Examination and assessment regulations
* The examination and assessment procedure normally includes final written exams or a paper of approximately 15 pages. The exact format and deadlines will be announced at the beginning of each course by the lecturers individually.
