Qualifications

Requirements for English teachers are:
* Bachelor Degree OR
* TESOL/TEFL certification WITH a 2-year degree from an accredited post
secondary institution
* A Passport from the U.S., Canada, UK, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, or NZ
* Able to commit to a 1 year contract
* Provide a Criminal Record Check

Salary/Pay

Remuneration Hess Native English Speaking Teachers are paid between NTD 560 - NTD 750/hour. The starting pay rate is normally NTD 560/hour. Teachers are only paid for teaching time and time spent grading homework; while time spent preparing lessons is unpaid. However, for teaching most classes you are given two hours' pay for 100 or 110 minutes of teaching time. Furthermore, lesson preparation and grading can be completed quickly when you become familiar with Hess materials.
