The Hedonisia Hawaii Fair-Trade Volunteer Program tends to be less busy in the Spring and Fall so that is a great time to apply!

Qualifications

We are looking for hard working and friendly people with a love for nature in our small communal environment. We do have a number of jobs available. However, if you like working in the land such as weeding, landscaping etc then we have work for you.

We try to continually adjust our program so that every Volunteer at Hedonisia has had a great time, met new friends, and leaves with a feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment.

Cost in US$:

US$200 for 2-Week Tryout and then $50 a week for each week thereafter.

Program Fees Include:

Volunteers may access food in the Communal Pantry and harvest our produce for personal use but we do recommend that volunteers allow a budget for food. There is a great health food store nearby.

Typical Volunteer

A typical Hedonisia volunteer is young at heart; they still are idealistic and want to "change the world". They are feminist, open minded, eco-friendly and believe they can make a difference. They are optimistic about the world but realistic about the work needed to truly change. They are flexible and open to learning.

Scholarships are Available

Scholarships are available if a Volunteer who is staying long term qualifies to be a Customer Relations Manager. This is someone with excellent telephone and computer skills for reservations, interviews and working with of prospective Guests and Volunteers.
