HPU attracts students from all 50 states and more than 100 countries with approximately one-third of the student population from outside the United States. The Institute for International Education ranks HPU as one of the top ten most diverse Master's Level Institutions in the world.

This multicultural diversity helps HPU achieve its mission to "prepare its graduates to live, work, and learn as active members of a global society". Students from all majors can also study abroad in more than 40 partner universities worldwide. Ranked high in International Diversity

Hawai'i Pacific University is consistently ranked one of the top Master's Universities around the world for international diversity by the Institute for International Education (IIE). IIE is considered the preeminent source for international enrollment as the publisher of Open Doors, the annual publication on international enrollment at U.S. universities. In 2010, HPU ranked #20 in international enrollment of all Master's Universities around the world.
