We work to develop and foster an individual's ideas and passion to help them develop their own project either as part of Haiti Communitere or as a partner organization/individual.
We encourage new volunteers to spend time getting to know and understand the country they have just arrived in and discover where they feel they can best place themselves to get the most out of their time with us and here in Haiti. Many of the projects that have the greatest success are the ones that are developed in-country.
Volunteers cover their own transportation and per diem costs, which are used to cover operating costs and employ several Haitian staff on base.
We welcome volunteers based on their ability to contribute to the projects currently on-going in Haiti. That means that we need to know that you're healthy enough to live and work in Haiti, ready and willing to work hard and take directions, and won't face any challenge, physical or otherwise, that would inhibit your ability to work with us.
We invite anyone who is interested in volunteering with us in Port-au-Prince to get involved by contacting us.
USD 20/day
Volunteers pay a per diem as low as USD 20/day, and this includes 2 meals/day Monday-Saturday, wireless internet, 24 hour security, and drinking water.

Haiti Communitere (HC) strives for Haitian and International groups to operate as a community, thus increasing capacity and streamlining logistical operations. HC partners operate in a shared overhead environment, thus allowing their focus of operations to remain project based. HC continues to respond to the observed needs not being addressed on the ground while coordinating a Sustainability Resource Center that fosters creativity and connectivity while inspiring the Haitian and International development effort.
