IVSA offers applicants a unique experience through providing: (1) hands-on English teaching experience with International Village (IV), (2) a Teachers of English as a Second Language (TESL) certification course upon completion, and (3) a full undergraduate semester course load through NJC.

IVSA is offered for two purposes:

Applicants will test into their Japanese language courses accordingly and take Japanese culture and international leadership classes with their teammates. Applicants who successfully complete the TESL course and choose to participate in the USA Summer Camp will receive limited tuition and airfare reimbursement.
