Taiwan offers some of the best benefits packages for English teachers in the world, with high salaries, subsidized or free housing and paid vacation. Greenheart Travel currently has limited openings available in private schools in Taiwan for qualified candidates.

Teacher responsibilities and working hours vary depending on the specific school post, but most require 30 working hours a week, consisting of 22 classroom hours and 8 office (preparation) hours per week. Teachers are responsible for conducting English classes of 25-50 students on average per class. Teachers assist with the development of teaching materials and activities related to English language education.

Highlights

There is no fee for this program. Teachers enjoy rent free accommodations and a salary that is plenty to cover their living expenses plus save a substantial amount for travel, paying off loans or saving. In addition to a generous monthly salary, teachers also receive monthly bonuses in most cases, and an international travel stipend.

Qualifications

* Must hold a valid teaching certification/license issued in an English-speaking country. A TEFL Certificate is not sufficient for Taiwan teaching posts. (Please see our Teach in Korea and Teach in Thailand programs if you have a TEFL and are interested in teaching abroad.)
* Native English speaker
* BA/BS degree in any field
* Between the ages of 20 and 55
* Citizenship in Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa
