  • Description

Get to know the real Argentina while helping young women. This project aims at helping female teenagers and young adults by showing them how to re-integrate into Argentine society. All the girls who receive help here are young and find themselves in risky situations. The project offers workshops, homework support and emotional guidance so that these young women can feel secure and self-confident in themselves and their futures.

Volunteers can help in all areas including organizing workshops, recreational activities, homework assistance and counseling. The most important thing a volunteer can provide is her friendship and guidance. It is important that the volunteers are open-minded and are aware that the situations the young women face are harsh realities and often very difficult.

Volunteers will stay with carefully screened host families for the duration of the program. Two meals a day with your host family are included in your stay.
**No meals are served on Sundays.

Our staff in the U.S. are experienced volunteers themselves who are happy to share their insight and expertise with prospective volunteers. Our partner staff in Argentina are friendly, caring and dedicated to ensuring that each volunteer's experience is the best it can be. You will be met at the airport and will receive a personal orientation to your new home and your project within the first few days of your arrival. A staff member in Argentina will be available to you throughout your program.
