  • Description

Action-packed and affordable multi-sport learning adventure for teens on a remote island in the Sea of Cortez! This experience is designed for teens who want an introduction to marine biology including snorkeling, free-diving, and SCUBA! Learn while you explore. All of the activities are centered around an environmental education curriculum that uses hands on adventure to teach students how to be active environmental citizens and provides them with a setting to explore one of the most biologically diverse places on Earth!

  • Highlights

Baja Mexico Sea Quest is eight unbelievable days which high school students get to explore the unique biogeography and the habitats of the Sea of Cortez above and below the waterline. Each week will bring a plethora of possibilities for cool experiences from doing underwater acrobatics with wild sea lions, getting gill to snorkel with giant whale sharks (gentle plankton-eating giants) to encountering Fin whales mating, to racing a mega pod of dolphins as they ride the bow wake of our boat.

Field programs include: Fish and Invertebrate biodiversity surveys and species ID, Avian ecology and field surveys. Wild sea lion population study. Surface plankton tow and ID. Desert investigations to learn plant and animal adaptations. Collect field data for REEF.

Sea Quest camp is an island paradise on the beach. This is a full service camp which means that you don't have to set up tents, swat at bugs, and eat oatmeal all week. A chef and crew prepares your food so that you can spend time in adventure. Sure, we'll ask you to do your dishes and your part to keep the camp clean but you are not going to spend your time on survival. Sleep under the clear sky of the desert with billions of twinkling stars. Go Snorkeling with over 900 species of fish, marine mammals, and explore a world class national park!

Your friends are not going to believe your pictures. This will be a highlight in your life. You make new friends. - Students LOVE our Mexican crew. - You will gain hands on field experience and help with local conservation efforts. You have the opportunity to see and do what most people only dream about. Dare to do something different!
