Your study abroad experience is all about you! GlobaLinks Learning Abroad is here to assist you in your path of discovery throughout the study abroad experience. We design our programs so that our local and overseas staff are available 24 hours a day to support you in health and safety matters and are also key in enhancing your study abroad experience. Through our planned activities and resident director's personal recommendations for activities you can undertake while abroad, you will be directed on a path of personal, academic, cultural, social, and professional discovery. The QUT Study Abroad Orientation Weekend is a highlight of your settling-in period at QUT. Don't be surprised during this camp if you, like many other students before you, make lasting friendships that continue well after your return home.
The orientation weekend includes plenty of activities such as surfing, sandboarding, a guided walk, and an Australiana trivia night. We have also arranged lots of free time on the beach for you to "kick back" and get to know your fellow students!
Cruise the up and down the Brisbane River and enjoy the beautiful night lights of Brisbane at our first official Study Abroad event for the semester. The QUT Study Abroad Brisbane River Cruise is a great way to meet and get to know fellow students and staff in the Study Abroad and Exchange programs.
QUT offers Study Abroad students the opport unit y to receive a formal QUT award on completion of their Study Abroad program. The Certificates and Diplomas recognize student's academic achievements with QUT and are tangible evidence of their study abroad.
QUT offers study abroad research students a one or two semester program subject to supervisor availability. For more information contact your AustraLearn advisor.
Study Abroad students enrolled in at least one business subject have the opportunity to be involved in our innovative Business Advantage program offered through our AACSB accredited Faculty of Business.

- In addition to our multi-day Bridging Cultures Orientation Program, GlobaLinks Learning Abroad includes excursions in our Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji semester/year abroad programs. Each participant can choose one of the following four exciting excursions: Legian Beach in Bali, Queenstown and Milford sound in New Zealand, a Fiji island resort, or the Whitsundays in Australia! All tour costs are included, and all you have to do is get yourself to the departure point.
