    Study abroad for a semester or year at Swinburne University of Technology with GlobaLinks Learning Abroad, formerly known as AustraLearn. Your study abroad experience is all about you! GlobaLinks Learning Abroad is here to assist you in your path of discovery throughout the study abroad experience. We design our programs so that our local and overseas staff are available 24 hours a day to support you in health and safety matters and are also key in enhancing your study abroad experience. Through our planned activities and resident director's personal recommendations for activities you can undertake while abroad, you will be directed on a path of personal, academic, cultural, social, and professional discovery.     Swinburne is an entrepreneurial, cutting-edge and innovative university, offering industry-relevant courses that are built around the principles of flexibility and individuality. These principles guarantee a real-world education in any area of study.

    Swinburne consistently rates among the top 10 universities in Australia for Learning and Teaching Performance and is ranked in the Top 10 for Australian Research Council discovery grants for research universities.

    Swinburne is located in Melbourne, one of the world's most livable cities. Swinburne's two main campuses at Hawthorn and Prahran are located in vibrant neighborhoods. Prahran is regarded as the center of hip with tons of shops, cafes, clubs, movies, etc. As an added benefit, both locations are close to public transport. Swinburne offers many unique programs from Aviation (90 Qantas Airlines pilots have graduated from Swinburne), Film, Television and Design, Circus Arts and Entrepreneurship to Engineering.

    Swinburne International organizes trips and activities especially for international students. Here is just a taste of some of the activities that students have enjoyed:

    Great Ocean Road Day Trip: see one of the most beautiful stretches of road in Australia. Enjoy the scenic beauty that is Loch Ard Gorge and then head to the spectacular view of the Twelve Apostles.

    MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) Tour: take a tour of the home of Australian sport and the National Sports Museum.

    Phillip Island Koalas and Penguins: see koalas in their natural habitat at the Conservation Centre, then head to the Penguin Parade to watch the cute little fairy penguins emerge from the water and make their way to their burrows.

    Outback Australia Trip: a nine-day trip to the heart of the Northern Territory a journey of discovery into the natural history of this vast, ancient land.

    Grampians Overnight Trip: visit the famous McKenzie Falls and travel through the rugged mountain ranges of the spectacular Grampians.

    Program fee includes tuition for 3-4 subjects, guaranteed pre-arranged housing to fit your lifestyle, GlobaLinks Learning Abroad Bridging Cultures Program on-site in Cairns, Australia, optional spring break tours, access to our U.S. University of Record, affiliate student fee discounts, end of program workshop, university administrative fees, overseas health coverage, all pre-trip services including orientation materials, visa-processing service (excluding the visa fee), personal advising, subject selections, liaison with your home university, credit transfer assistance, financial aid services, and 24-hour assistance while abroad.
