    You can study abroad for a semester or year at Lancaster University with GlobaLinks Learning Abroad, formerly known as EuroLearn. Your study abroad experience is all about you!

    GlobaLinks Learning Abroad is here to assist you in your path of discovery throughout the study abroad experience. We design our programs so that our local and overseas staff are available 24 hours a day to support you in health and safety matters and are also key in enhancing your study abroad experience. Through our planned activities and resident directors personal recommendations for activities you can undertake while abroad, you will be directed on a path of personal, academic, cultural, social, and professional discovery.     Lancaster University is a vibrant and friendly, self contained campus university which is committed to achieving the highest standards. With its residential College structure and high quality teaching departments, it places great emphasis on the student experience. Lancaster is among the top 200 universities in the world according to the Times World University rankings and 19 in the UK in the Times Good University Guide 2009.

    The University is located in the northwest of England, close to the beautiful Lake District, one of England's national parks. It has good rail links to London (three hours), Edinburgh (two hours), or Manchester (one hour), as well as three airports within one and a half hours, which give easy access to mainland Europe. You are never far away from both spectacular countryside and city life.

    Lancaster University offers a variety of subjects to international students. Modules are offered in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Engineering and Business. The most popular options are usually English Literature, History, Politics, International Relations, European Studies and Psychology. Most of the core pre-med courses are offered at Lancaster. Undergraduate research projects are also available.

  • Highlights

    The travel office on campus offers day and weekend trips to Dublin, York, and London among other destinations, and student societies organize outings regularly (e.g., the hiking club). The Student Support Service and your residential college organizes social events as varied as a Christmas Ball, reception with the local Mayor, a pub quiz, pool tournament, or intermural sports games.

    U.S. University Transcript option is available through our School of Record, University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.

    GlobaLinks Learning Abroad offers a multi-day Bridging Cultures Program (in country). This program blends discussion, cultural exploration, and social gatherings for an informative and fun introduction to the country in which students will be living and studying abroad.

    GlobaLinks Learning Abroad staff in the U.S. and abroad are available 24 hours a day for support of students, parents, and advisors. In addition to our London-based Resident Director, GlobaLinks Learning Abroad provides bilingual support staff at several of our sites in Europe to ensure that assistance is available in times of need and crisis.

      Applicants must have the required GPA and have completed at least the equivalent of one year of full-time study at the university/college level (sophomore or higher). Students with a lower GPA than the requirement may be considered on a case by case basis. Please contact our office for more information. Required GPA: 2.80

    Lancaster University supports EuroLearn study abroad students with three 750 (USD) scholarships per year beginning 2011/2012. All students who have been accepted to study abroad for a semester or year at Lancaster University with EuroLearn are eligible for this scholarship the application will be available upon acceptance. EuroLearn also offers numerous other scholarships to students applying for a semester or year abroad program. See our website for more detailed information.
