Volunteers joining this project will assist teachers in island communities in the Yasawa Island chain in Fiji. Volunteers will work alongside local teachers working with students typically aged between 4 and 7 years old in one or more of the 27 island communities. Volunteers will work with the children assisting, local teachers to teach English and basic numeracy.
At weekends there is time to enjoy the local area, volunteers can go island hopping, snorkelling, scuba diving, partake in cultural activities and enjoy the many adventure activities on offer. Fiji is the perfect location to assist with education and care for the nation's children, spend time in paradise and enjoy a truly exotic culture.

No previous experience or training is necessary as GVI staff are on the ground to supply second to none training and assistance throughout your program. Non-native English speakers should have near fluent use of the English language.
