We have two locations where volunteers can help out:

* School in Kibera (Africa's Largest Slum)
- Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary School in the Kibera slums.
- Volunteers will teach basic english and math and will organize extracurricular activities for the students.

* School in Maasai Land
- Kindergarten through grade eight grade.
- Volunteers will be involved in teaching classes according to the syllabus provided by the school directors.
- Extracurricular activities include a music club, drama club and sports.

Living accomodations and meals in our Kenya progam are provided through pre-selected host families, where you will stay with other volunteers. Internet and mobile phones are readily available for international communication.

Program Fees Include:

The program fee will cover transportation to and from airport in host country, host family accommodations including 2 meals a day (breakfast and dinner), Government levies, in-country 24/7 support and supervision.

Additional costs:
- A registration fee of USD200 that covers 24/7 Support from GVVN staff, program promotion costs, administrative costs, travel costs to inspect programs and communication costs with volunteers.
- Visa (USD 25 - Obtained upon arrival in Nairobi, Kenya), airfare, vaccinations, trips and tours while in Kenya, spending money (USD 25 is usually sufficient for basic weekly expenses.)
