Class Is In Session
English - Is the international language of business, tourism and everything in between. It can act as a key to unlock the future for some and empower others to take their education to the next level. Join us as we provide free English lessons, school materials to village children on the outskirts of Battambang through our English language program.
We are always accepting volunteers and students throughout the year for placements at our partner schools. Our goal is to provide each of the schools with a full time English teacher throughout the year and we are always accepting volunteers who are looking to teach for extended periods of time.
Your job is simple - to bring positive energy into the lives of children who have known too little of it. And you will be amazed at how much energy they bring into yours. The activities are endless, and our staff are always available to help you get the most out of your time in Cambodia.
We will also be exploring more rural villages that few Westerners reach. We talk with village residents to determine how GSO volunteers can be most helpful. Often, this is helping with the school or small construction projects. Experience rural village life, meet families, hear their stories and provide help and hope through projects and supplies.
Training The Future:
Language lessons in Cambodia almost always come at a price, and for the families you will be working with that price is simply too high. Giving impoverished children the opportunity to pursue language education close to home helps provide them with skills and experience that their counterparts living in the city take for granted.
Experience Cambodia
Our knowledgeable and fun staff are eager to show you their favorite things about being Cambodian. Let them guide you as you explore vivid night markets, sample exotic cuisine, and discover the wonders that Cambodia has to offer. Your adventures may include riding a bamboo train on colonial tracks or climbing to view the ancient spires of Banon temple atop the local foothills. To round out your trip, visit some of the world's most exotic temples at Angkor Wat.
Because GSO is a non-profit organization, the trip is less expensive than other community service experiences and all proceeds support GSO services.
* Arrival dates are the dates the flight arrives into Siem Reap airport. Departure dates are the day the flight leaves from Siem Reap Airport. All return flights should depart Cambodia in the evening when possible to allow students ample time to visit Angkor Wat and other temple sites found in Siem Reap.

Global Student Outreach believes that informal education through interaction will benefit impoverished and disadvantaged children more then forced encounters with foreign concepts and values. Our organization strives to connect foreign volunteers with Cambodian youth in need of support, allowing them to work together on cooperative projects throughout the country. The resulting interaction and genuine friendship between the volunteers and the local population will stimulate curiosity about the world beyond and promote greater interest in pursuit of higher education.
