    Enjoy Cambodia's stunning temple and cities and rich biodiversity of plants and wildlife. You will have the chance to visit the mighty Mekong River, the extraordinary Angkor Wat, Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, Killing Fields, and Kirirom National Park. Most importantly, you can immerse yourself in a beautiful culture and make an impact through our community service where you will teach English to local children and adults and more.

    * Explore the captivating capital of Phnom Penh, including the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the Killing Fields.
    * Hike the winding jungle trails of Kirirom National Park.
    * Learn your first words of Khmer by speaking with your host mother over breakfast.
    * Construct rainwater collection systems or bio-digesters that help a community reach its goals of developing more sustainable energy practices.
    * Teach English to rural Cambodian children and adults.
    * Discover the hundreds of temples of Angkor Wat and Angkor Tom, vast excavated monuments in the middle of the jungle.

  • Program Fees Include:

    Travel expenses to and from Phnom Penh, Cambodia are not included in the program fee. Global Routes arranges group travel. Round trip airfare from JFK to Cambodia will be approximately USD 2,400. Students are also encouraged to raise monies to help fund their service projects.

    Global Routes offers community-service/cross-cultural exchange programs for North American high-school and college students throughout the world. Students immerse themselves in the life of a small, rural community as they live with a local family and teach in the village school, build a community meeting house or participate in other service projects.
