The Summer in the Mediterranean: Early Christianity program allows students to trace the early footsteps of the Apostles as they spread Christianity westward from Cyprus to Greece and Italy. Cyprus was the first country to convert to Christianity and has an ancient Christian and Byzantine heritage. The coursework of this program focuses on early Christian thought and Art History, with an emphasis on Byzantine Art. Outside the classroom, students have visited monasteries in the mountains of Cyprus, the cave where the Apocalypse was written and the Vatican. Students travel to Athens and Rome by air and several Greek islands by cruise ship. The program is taught from an academic perspective and welcomes students from all faiths and backgrounds who have an interest in religious history.

- See historical Biblical sites first-hand and learn from custom visits to monasteries, museums and religious experts
- Visits to historically and culturally important islands and cities in Greece and Italy, including Athens and Rome
