  • Description

If you want to make a difference in a child's life, look no further! Volunteer abroad at a children's hospital in Quito, Ecuador, and work to seriously change the time spent in hospital for countless children. Approximately 250 children from all regions of Ecuador come to this hospital so additional support is always needed. Your participation provides the hospital staff with much needed help so you can be assured your time spent is making a huge impact. It's also a great way to learn about the Ecuadorian health system, while sharing information with the medical and hospital staff there. Spending time with the children can also improve your Spanish skills.

Quito is the second largest city and the capital of Ecuador. At 10,000 feet, it is breathtaking. It is surrounded by mountains, forested hills and a valley. There are three areas of Quito (South of Old Town, North of Old Town, and North of Quito). Old Town has been named a Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO. Quito is 22 miles from the Equator and has two season: wet and dry.
