Global Education Oregon is the newly-founded integration of AHA International, founded in 1957, and University of Oregon Study Abroad Programs.
Offering over 100 programs on five continents throughout the academic year and summer, GEO is dedicated to the development of faculty and students capable of participating in and contributing to our global society. Program length ranges from two and a half to 19 weeks, including fall and spring semester, fall and spring quarter, January term, and summer options. Many of our programs take place in uncommon locations, which allows us to maximize cultural immersion, ensure that students never feel like tourists, and give program participants an entirely unique experience.
GEO offers program spanning a variety of models, with single location and multi-site opportunities, classroom and integrated excursion-based learning, and field schools. GEO programs permit students to satisfy general education, major-specific, and elective credits. Internships and service learning projects are meaningful, mutually-beneficial, and open to students from a wide range of majors.
